Megan Martin

Recovery Coach Northside

Megan is a recovery coach at the Tomball branch of Teen and Family Services (TAFS). Shortly after getting sober she began volunteering at a youth detention center in State College, PA. This was where she realized that her passion is in the youth recovery field. Soon after, she started a local chapter of the non-profit organization, Young People in Recovery. Through networking with the Penn State collegiate recovery community, Megan realized that Houston was on the cutting edge of youth recovery and decided that she had to be there. Shortly after moving, she began working at TAFS and co-created the QUEST Leadership Program in conjunction with the Cougars in Recovery collegiate recovery community at the University of Houston. Megan will obtain her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in August 2019 and plans to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Houston.
