Help Is Closer Than You Think
Since 2002, Teen and Family Services has helped adolescents and families navigate mental and behavioral health and substance use challenges.
Our model integrates clinical care, teen engagement, and family participation. When teens feel connected, clinical care can do its life-changing work.
If something feels off with your teen, you’re in the right place.
Connection Opens the Door. Clinical Care Does the Work.
At TAFS, teens grow through peer connection, adventure learning, and structured activities that build trust, confidence, and belonging. Fun and laughter are welcome.
With engagement as the starting point, clinical care helps teens strengthen coping skills, relationships, and recovery – while parents and caregivers gain support, tools, and connection of their own.
Measured Outcomes. Meaningful Change.
As teens build trust and confidence, families strengthen their ability to support growth, connection, and lasting change. The TAFS Model works. We track progress consistently and measure outcomes across programs, supported by research partnerships with University of Texas Health Science Center and Baylor College of Medicine.

Building Stability to Launch into Adulthood
Since 2002, TAFS has delivered a unique recovery model designed for teens – strengthening how they function within their relationships, daily lives, and environments.
We focus on emotional regulation, addressing substance use, peer relationships, family stability, accountability, and identity development. Teens stabilize and build the capacity to move forward with confidence.
Recovery expands what is possible in their lives.
One Model. Three Communities.
Across each setting, TAFS brings the same core commitment: clinically grounded care, strong relationships, and meaningful engagement that help young people stay involved in recovery. The model remains consistent. The delivery reflects the needs of each community.

That Feeling in Your Gut
It's Trying to Tell You Something.
It can be hard to know if you’re overreacting – or not reacting soon enough. Most parents can tell when something has shifted.
TAFS May Be a Good Fit If Your Teen Is
- Using or abusing substances
- Struggling with anxiety, depression, or mood instability
- Exhibiting behavioral challenges at home or school
- Withdrawing from family or once-loved hobbies
- Declining academically
- Spending time with new and concerning friends – or isolating more
If another level of care is more appropriate, we will offer referrals and help guide next steps.
