Stacie Allphin has a MS in Addiction Studies, is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and President of Concierge Counseling and Coaching of Texas. Stacie has been in the substance use disorder treatment field for more than 20 years and has worked with a variety of populations including; adults, adolescent, families, inpatient, outpatient, probation, and CPS.
Stacie has received a myriad of certifications related to enhancing her clients experience in meeting their therapeutic goals. Stacie has presented at the American Society of Group Psychotherapy & Psychodrama in 2000 and 2008, the National Association of Social Workers in 2005 and the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapist in 2006.
In 2008 Stacie presented a series of workshops in Wyoming in conjunction with Marathon Oil Company, presenting to over 6,000 adolescents, educators, and parents. She has also provided education and information to organizations such as Texas Children’s Hospital, Lone Star College, Brazoria County ISD, and other organizations in the Houston and surrounding areas. Stacie has been a guest speaker on LA Talk Radio’s Family Solutions program, Fox News, AM 740KTRH news radio, and ABC news.
Stacie has volunteered and served on the Houston Chapter of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals Board of Directors, as well as the Texas Association of Addiction professionals and chaired the Houston annual conference several times. In 2010 she was the recipient of the Houston Chapter counselor of the year award, and in 2011 she received the Texas State Counselor of the year award. She has participated in advocacy for mental health and substance use disorders on a state and national level in an effort to decrease stigma related to these disorders, and gain support for health coverage. Additionally, Stacie has served on the board for the Texas Addiction Professionals Peer Assistance Network and the Boys to Men Houston Chapter.
On a personal note, Stacie enjoys traveling, beaches, scuba and snorkeling, reading, painting, creating music, and treasure hunting. She has a large family and an interesting variety of pets which add great variety and diversity to her life.
